Surf Lessons

Before you go back home you must try to surf in paradise!
We offer lessons with experienced and certified instructors, both by the International Surfing Association and PANAM Sports. 
Veronica is the co-founder of the local Surf Association and head of the Tica Surf instructors' team, a local businesswoman and twice National Masters Champion.
They will use the adequate equipment for each level and pay close attention to safety.
If you are a beginner the lesson will start with equipment recognition, details on how to lay on the board and finding balance, how to move, a bit of stretching and body warming, and when you are ready it is water time!

Scheduling a class will depend directly on ocean conditions and actual tides.

The Mal Pais Canopy Tour is based in the quiet village of Mal Pais, on a farm with more than 200 different tree species, at the entrance of the Cabo Blanco Absolute Nature Reserve.
The whole area is surrounded by rich tropical forest and diverse wildlife as well as many birds. Come and journey through the treetops, enjoying the tropical forest while the Pacific Ocean lies below you.
The exciting canopy ride is nearly a mile long and has 11 platforms set high in the gigantic trees. Steel cables connect the platforms which are between 5 and 30 meters in height. You will not forget the experience of flying along our 300 meters long shot over a canyon between the second and the third platform, or the incredible 500 meters long ride through the jungle along a creek.

Islas Tortuga's tour starts at Montezuma where you will board your boat for a 45 minute ride with outstanding coastal views, dolphins swimming around, turtles, mantas and even Humpback whales, during the right season. Once you get to the islands is snorkeling time at a volcanic rock reef surrounded by crystalline water and an abundant amount of fish of every color and size. Tortuga Islands Half-Day Snorkeling Tour

From the main beach inside Curu Wild Life Refuge, the ship Captain and his crew will transport you by boat to Islas Tortuga, famous in Costa Rica for snorkeling and its beauty. The trip takes about 10 minutes by sea, which is normally smooth and safe. Departures are scheduled at 9am and 12pm shared tours; however, a private trip can be set up for a different time of the day.
On the way to the islands, you will enjoy the beautiful coastline together with some marine life. The exciting experience of going with the boat through the hole in the rock called Arco Iris (Rainbow Rock) is one of the best parts of the tour.
On the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica there's not much hard coral, but lots of fish and shellfish that keep your attention. Among the most common species, you will find the King Angel Fish, Cortez Angel Fish, Damsels, Starfish, eels, gobies, and many others. After about 1hr of snorkeling, the Captain will take you to the main island where you will stay for about 2 hours, and the staff will prepare some fresh fruits, sodas, and snacks, while you can sunbathe or swim.
Lunch can be added for an extra cost (morning tour); advance notice is required.

The Cabo Blanco Absolute Natural Reserve is a Nature Reserve of Costa Rica, part of the Tempisque Conservation Area in the province of Puntarenas, covering an area of 3,140 acres (12.7 km2) terrestrial and 4,420 acres (17.9 km2) marine on the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula near Montezuma-Cabuya and Mal Pais.
The site is home to the San Miguel Biological Station which was developed to promote and support teaching, research, and environmental education and has facilities that include classrooms, laboratories and a reference library. The reserve was created in 1963 due to a campaign started by Nils Olof Wessberg and was the first major conservation project in the country.
